All About This Course

Do you love tarot but can't get past the basic meanings or spreads, instead spending your time flipping through books to make meaning of your cards?

Do you have a beloved deck but have never fully committed to the practice?

Do you wish you could bring your tarot knowledge to the next level, where you're actually using it as the divination tool it was meant to be?

This. Is. Your. Class.

Every month, Heretical Hierophant, Queer Witch, and Facilitator of Liminal Spaces Lex Hesperus will be teaching the foundations of tarot and how to create your own personalized mystical connections to the deck with our new class, Intuitive Tarot: Finding Meaning Beyond Memorization.

In each session, Lex will guide us through our individual connections and relationships that show up, giving us a framework to develop a more complex, divinatory understanding of tarot. With each class, you'll build on your specific relationship with the cards so that you can rely on your deck for your own revelations as well as do readings for others.

This class is comprehensive, individualized, and expansive. This ritual is made for beginners all the way to advanced practitioners because it focuses on the elements of intuition and mystical connections versus just skill level. Lex knows how to guide folks from all different backgrounds, so fear not, you are exactly the type of person who can join.

In Intuitive Tarot, we explore select topics in tarot to help you build intuitive connection with the cards, move beyond guidebook definitions, and develop a fluent understanding of foundational tarot concepts. In these interactive sessions, you’ll get to explore the deeper symbolism of the tarot with a group of fellow seekers and discover just how much meaning and magic there is in your deck!

This class will begin with a quick overview of the tarot theory & tradition relevant to the month's topic, then we'll move into group discussion & exercises to help you build your intuitive skills. You will need a tarot deck for this class! If you like, you can pull the relevant cards for this session out of your deck ahead of time to prepare for class! This class is appropriate for the advanced beginner (or the ambitious total newbie!), as well more intermediate folks who are looking to build confidence and fluency.

This class is for you if:
✨ You’re ready to figure out what each tarot card means FOR YOU
✨ You want to dive into the depths and nuances of tarot
✨ You want to learn to give readings that resonate with confidence

Tarot wasn't meant to just be memorized, it was meant to be felt and understood.

Join us to build your own meaningful, reliable, and deeply personalized practice and relationship to tarot.

About Your Instructor

Lex Hesperus' Background + Philosophy

Lex Hesperus (they/he) is a queer witch, spiritworker, writer & educator. As a votary of the Divine Spark, Lex helps their clients reweaving sacred and reciprocal relationship with the earth & cosmos. Their work is for seekers with yearning hearts and hungry souls who are ready to venture into the sacred to claim their sovereignty, weave sacred relationship, and learn to love their fate by engaging in the spiritual body & soul.

Lex’s goal is to empower students to trust their intuition and follow their own paths through radical approaches. As a former rule follower, Hesperus has developed the tools to break free from society's norms and live a life of love & liberation. Their work is spirit-led & historically informed, with a particular focus on tarot, ancestral healing, queer spiritualities, and the Orphic tradition.

Lex is here to connect weirdos & revolutionaries to the sacred, weaving webs of meaning and connection, so they can claim their power, discover ecstatic embodiment and learn to love their fate!

Think of them as your comrade in iconoclastic spirituality. An oracular outsider facilitating encounters with the radical and enchanting possibilities of the beyond.

Lex is a queer, bisexual, trans-masculine, chronically ill & neurodivergent witch. They are a music school & PhD drop-out, a trained research scientist turned mystical revolutionary. They are a child of earth and starry sky. They are a former atheist working with spirits and worshiping deities.

Lex loves reading and research and asking questions that get to the heart of the matter. Their favorite books are The Iliad and The Dispossessed. In their free time you can find them making fiber art, singing bawdy songs, and worshiping Hermes & Dionysus in public forests.

Lex not only explores the beyond, but strives to bring back what they've learned to share as widely as they can. In service of that work, they are also a writer. You can subscribe to Liminal Letters, their weekly digital love letter to the liminal, here -

Lex's work is deeply rooted in their values of reciprocal thriving, radical liberation, pleasure & joy, and the liminal & unconventional.
